Cuidiú Classes - Effective Education for Birth and Parenting

See our Cuidiú Antenatal web site; www.antenatalireland.ie for a full list of Antenatal teachers, classes and services run by Cuidiú teachers nationwide.

Cuidiú Antenatal Educators undertake a full training programme to gain a professional qualification in antenatal education. Our teachers have trained either through the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) UK or within the Cuidiú Antenatal Teacher Training programme and hold a License to Practice from Cuidiú. They hold Diplomas in Antenatal Education. Cuidiú now provides antenatal teacher training in Ireland and the training programme continues to be a rigourous and innovative approach to training in antenatal education. All our teachers are regularly reviewed. They undergo continuous education to maintain their licences and for quality assurance.

Antenatal classes formats

Our antenatal courses follow a format that is unique in antenatal education in Ireland.

Courses are provided in a range of group and individual formats from weekly classes
to 1-day workshops as well as refreshers and early pregnancy courses. From early
pregnancy, many of our teachers now offer Relax Stretch Breathe Classes which are a
fusion of antenatal topics and gentle yoga-based stretching, relaxing and breathing for
pregnancy. These classes have been designed specially by pregnancy yoga teachers and
antenatal teachers.

For more information on all classes available, please visit  www.antenatalireland.ie web site for all your questions answered.

Antenatal Support

Before you even have your baby and become a parent, Cuidiú has much to offer. Anyone
is welcome to attend any of our Bumps & Babes or Breastfeeding Support meetings
before the birth of their baby.

It can be very valuable to talk to other Mums who have given birth. Meetings are held in
an informal setting, where you can chat to other mums and listen to their experiences. By
tapping into our network of support before you have your baby, it can be much easier to
ask for support in the early days at home with your new baby.

By talking to us while you are still pregnant, we will help you decipher myth from reality
and hopefully help you to realise that, although very hard work, having a baby can be one
of the most rewarding and joyous occasions of your life!
