Why Cuidiú?

The Irish name Cuidiú means care and support for all parents with bumps or babes, tots or teens.
Cuidiú now has 24 branches and groups across the country and welcomes members from every inch of Ireland  We would love to have a branch or group in all counties and we hope you find a Cuidiú near you. We are always interested in supporting new Cuidiú branches or smaller Cuidiú groups in any part of the country, if you would like to get involved in setting up in a new area please contact cuidiubranchteam@gmail.ie.

Cuidiú branches run a variety of activities for families and minders, this is all done on a voluntary basis and we thoroughly appreciate the time and effort contributed by all our volunteers to keep Cuidiú going in their local areas.  We always welcome new volunteers, it is a very rewarding experience helping provide support to other parents. Do contact your local branch/group if you would like to get involved.

Each branch has its own committee to organise and run its events. Many branches produce their own event sheet or newsletter giving full details of events and services on offer. There are usually Antenatal Education classes, Breastfeeding Support and Parent to Parent Support linked to each branch.  Although the branches are autonomous, the ethos and principles by which they are run are overseen by the Board and Administrative Council.

Family Membership of Cuidiú is €25 per annum. In addition, most branches ask for a small contribution for each meeting/activity attended. You can join up here.
