Events Rep

The Administrative Council (AC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Events Rep / Mgr to join our national management team in a part time voluntary capacity.  Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Events Rep will have the responsibility for liaising with our 25+ Branches and 3 Training Sectors to oversee and manage events on behalf of the charity.  This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your events expertise to a dynamic organisation dedicated to making a positive impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to deliver against the strategic goals aligned with Cuidiu’s mission and objectives.
  • Provide input to the Conference and Events strategy (from the development of new markets to the character and range of activities Cuidiú should engage in).
  • Lead the planning, coordination and full management of key events on behalf of Cuidiú including our Annual National Members Conference and our Annual ‘Cuidiú Week’.
  • Advise and support our volunteers to ensure Cuidiú events and activities are appropriately planned, communicated and executed in line with brand and strategy across all groups, this includes post event reporting & financials.
  • Become a tool expert using Tito and provide training & support for the same.
  • Sit on the Administrative Council (AC) Management Team and attend monthly update meetings (via Zoom).
     

Desired Experience and Skills:

 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Share a passion for Cuidiú’s mission and a have a desire to contribute to a non-paid voluntary organisation.
  • An events background and / or prior PR experience is a bonus!

Note: This is a voluntary (unpaid) position within Cuidiú.  All Directors and members of the Administrative Council work on a voluntary basis to govern Cuidiú according to our constitution.  The AC meet on a monthly basis online and aim to meet in person twice yearly.  Typical contributions vary greatly but are between 2-3 hours per week.
